SIMCHAT TORAH

SIMCHAT TORAH – TISHREI 23

In ancient times, the 22nd and the 23rd would have been considered one long day as Shemini Atzeret was
observed for two days, celebrating the Torah on the second day,
That day became known as Simchat Torah,

Psalm 118:24

This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

It was the end the annual cycle of reading the Torah.
There was rejoicing in the Law because God teaches us the way to live through Torah or God’s Word.

Celebrate God’s Law by Reading 119

Both Shavuot and Simchat Torah end with a festival devoted to Torah.  Shavuot is somber in responding to the revelation of the Word, while Simchat Torah is a time to express our love and devotion to the Word.

SPIRITUAL ACTIVATION
After another year of unprecedented challenges from COVID and the uncertainty of American and world affairs can you still find comfort and hope through the Word of God?
Ask God to show you in His Word, His answer to your concerns.
Thank God for His Word.
